Does my face go to a server?
Mirage processes your camera, microphone and speech on your Mac. We don’t receive your video, voice or captions. When you use Mirage Camera in a call, your call app sends the video to the people you’re calling under its own privacy policy.
Can I bring my own deeply specific meme?
Please do. Drop an image or GIF into Mirage, assign a gesture, and give the inside joke an outside audience. Your custom files stay in Mirage’s own folder on your Mac.
What if I accidentally summon a wall of fire?
A normal Tuesday. Switch that gesture off or lower its sensitivity in Mirage. Press Control + Option + 0 to pause reactions from any app.
What does my Mac need?
Mirage is a Mac app. Live captions require macOS 26 or later and an initial speech-model download. Check the Mac App Store listing for the app’s full system requirements. Our setup guide covers permissions and Mirage Camera.
