BIG REACTIONS. BASIC GROUND RULES.
terms of use.
These terms apply to Mirage, a Mac app provided by Coded Realities LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using Mirage, you agree to these terms and the applicable App Store licence terms.
01. Your licence
Mirage is licensed through the Mac App Store under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). Coded Realities LLC is the application provider. The Standard EULA governs your licence, including its scope, restrictions and termination. These terms describe Mirage’s features, subscriptions and permitted use; they do not replace the Standard EULA. Where there is a conflict about the app licence, the Standard EULA controls.
All rights in Mirage, its software and original branding remain with Coded Realities LLC or the relevant rights holders. You retain your rights in your own content.
02. Mirage Free
Mirage Free lets you play with all features inside the app and includes 15 minutes of live use in calls each month. A Pro subscription removes that live-use time limit. Free use does not require a Mirage account.
03. Mirage Pro and subscriptions
Mirage Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. The listed US prices are $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year. Local prices, currency and taxes may vary. The App Store purchase screen shows the applicable price and billing period before you confirm.
- Free trial: Eligible new subscribers can receive a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the trial converts to the paid plan you selected at that plan’s price. Eligibility and the offer shown by Apple at purchase control.
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a paid purchase or when your free trial ends, as applicable.
- Automatic renewal: Your plan renews for the same billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before the next period begins.
- Manage or cancel: Open your App Store account settings and manage your subscriptions there. Deleting Mirage does not cancel a subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
- After cancellation: Paid Pro access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for. Apple determines the effect of cancellation during a free trial. When Pro ends, Mirage Free remains available subject to its limits.
- Refunds and changes: Apple handles billing, refund requests and any required notices or consent for price changes under its terms and applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
04. Acceptable use
Use Mirage lawfully and respect the people on the other end of the camera. You must not use it to:
- Impersonate another person deceptively, commit fraud or misrepresent someone’s identity or consent.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, bully or abuse people.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity rights or other rights.
- Create or share unlawful content, or violate the rules of the service where you use Mirage.
You are responsible for your use of the app and for obtaining any consent needed to share, caption, stream or record other people. Mirage does not monitor your local camera feed or custom media.
05. Your memes are yours
You keep ownership of images, GIFs and other content you add to Mirage. Adding content does not transfer ownership to us or grant us permission to publish it. The app processes your chosen files locally to provide the reactions you request.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use and share that content. Built-in effects, references and third-party names do not imply endorsement by their rights holders.
06. Compatibility and changes
Features depend on compatible Mac hardware, macOS, permissions and your chosen call app. Live captions require macOS 26 or later and an initial speech-model download. Gesture detection and caption accuracy can vary with lighting, camera position, background, speech and other conditions. Review the current App Store listing for complete system requirements.
We may update Mirage to improve it, maintain compatibility or address problems. Third-party apps and operating-system changes may affect availability. Any material changes to paid features or these terms will be handled with the notice and rights required by applicable law. Revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date.
07. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the Standard EULA, Mirage is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect gesture recognition, accurate captions or compatibility with every device or third-party app. Captions are an expressive feature and should not be relied on for safety-critical or professional transcription.
To the extent allowed by law, our warranty obligations and liability are governed by the Standard EULA. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, warranties or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections.
08. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains Mirage’s on-device processing and the information you may choose to send when contacting support. Mirage does not use the general data-collection permission in the Standard EULA to collect app analytics or your camera, voice or caption content.
